At SCSJ, we empower the people and communities that change the world. As an intern or volunteer, you will too.
SCSJ’s intern and volunteer programs are designed to provide substantive learning experiences in a public advocacy environment. Interns and volunteers work on-site in SCSJ’s office in Durham, N.C. and in the communities it serves. Their work supports SCSJ programs protecting minority voting rights; strengthening meaningful opportunities for effective civic participation; advancing environmental justice and advocacy supporting community-driven efforts; and eliminating racial bias in the criminal justice system, ending mass incarceration, and removing unjust barriers faced by persons with criminal records.
We welcome new perspectives, fresh ideas and we draw enthusiastic and forward-thinking interns and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds, professions, and academic fields. Join us today and take advantage of Fall, Spring, and Summer internships and volunteer opportunities to learn from a multidisciplinary team of committed social justice advocates.
